Mission

The mission of the HAPCOA - Corporate Advisory Board relationship is to establish, develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships between HAPCOA and a select group of corporate entities.

Values

It is understood that in order to create, develop and maintain the mutually beneficial relationships that are sought, HAPCOA and its representatives as well as each corporation and its representative(s) serving on the Corporate Advisory Board must adhere to the following values

Commitment - All parties and their representatives must allocate people, time and money to developing and maintaining the relationship.

Communications - All parties and their representatives must engage in open and frank two-way communication.

Collaboration - All parties and their representatives must collaborate with one another to develop and enhance win-win relationships.

Goals

The goals of the HAPCOA - Corporate Advisory Board Relationship include

  • Further the goals and objectives of HAPCOA with support and assistance from corporate members of the Corporate Advisory Board. Corporate members of the Corporate Advisory Board may provide cash or in-kind support as well as serve as a valuable resource providing services of an advisory or facilitative nature.

  • Further the goals of corporate members with support and assistance from HAPCOA. HAPCOA may provide advertising, marketing and other sponsorship opportunities which will increase the visibility and recognition of corporate members as supporters of Hispanic law enforcement and the Hispanic community as a whole.

MEMBERSHIP AND STRUCTURE

Membership is to be limited to corporations within the third and fourth tiers of HAPCOA supporters.

SARGENTO ($2,500 / 1 benefit listed)

Contribution: $2,500 cash or in-kind to help further HAPCOA's promotional, communications and marketing efforts.

To be considered a supporter, all corporations shall be required to provide an "ante" of $2,500 in cash at the beginning of each year (January). The sum total of these gifts shall be restricted and set aside to further develop and maintain the web site as well as to develop marketing communications materials. Some organizations listed as supporters may only provide in-kind gifts and services that further the organization's promotional, communications and marketing objectives. In these cases, the services or support to be offered shall be clearly stipulated before an organization is listed as a supporter. If no additional gift is given beyond this level, a supporter shall remain in the first tier.

benefit 1: The benefit derived from the Sargento-level of support shall be inclusion in any and all lists of HAPCOA corporate supporters included in marketing communications materials. Within the web site, Sargento-level supporters will also be provided a link to their respective websites.

TENIENTE ($7,500 / 3 benefits listed)

Contribution: Surpass the Sargento level of support to provide an additional $5,000 cash or in-kind to support HAPCOA's Annual Conference.

Teniente-level gifts shall be restricted and used only to help fray conference related expenses.

benefit 1: Teniente-level supporters will be appropriately grouped and recognized in all marketing communications materials that include corporate supporters.

benefit 2: Teniente-level supporters will be provided banners in HAPCOA's national electronic publications.

benefit 3: Teniente-level supporters shall also receive the following conference benefits:

  • A half page print advertising layout in the conference program
  • One conference pass
  • Signage in conference a venue

CAPITAN ($12,500 / 6 benefits listed)

Contribution: Surpass the Teniente-level of support to provide an additional $5,000 cash or in-kind to support HAPCOA's Annual Conference.

Capitan-level gifts shall be restricted and used only to help fray conference related expenses.

benefit 1: Capitan-level supporters will be appropriately grouped and recognized in all marketing communications materials that include corporate supporters.

benefit 2: Capitan-level supporters will be provided banners in HAPCOA's national electronic publications.

benefit 3: Capitan-level supporters may submit articles for inclusion in both the national e-pub as well as local chapter newsletters.

benefit 4: Capitan-level supporters shall also receive the following conference benefits:

  • A one page print advertising layout in the conference program
  • One exhibitor booth space
  • Three conference passes
  • Signage in three conference venues
  • Logo on HAPCOA based promotions
  • Merchandise insert into conference bag

benefit 5: Capitan-level supporters may also seek support from the HAPCOA Executive Board on issues that are clearly of mutual interest.

benefit 6: Capitan-level supporters are eligible to participate on the HAPCOA Corporate Advisory Board.

SUB-COMANDANTE ($17,500 / 8 benefits listed)

Contribution: Surpass the Capitan-level of support to provide an additional $5,000 cash or in-kind to support HAPCOA in any way.

benefit 1: Sub-Comandante-level supporters will be appropriately grouped and recognized in all marketing communications materials that include corporate supporters.

benefit 2: Sub-Comandante-level supporters will be provided banners in HAPCOA's national electronic publications.

benefit 3: Sub-Comandante-level supporters may submit articles for inclusion in both the national e-pub as well as local chapter newsletters.

benefit 4: Sub-Comandante-level supporters will have the opportunity to receive additional publicity or post information on the HAPCOA website.

benefit 5: Subcomandante-level supporters will also receive the following conference benefits:

  • A one page print advertising layout in the conference program
  • One exhibitor booth space
  • Five conference passes
  • Signage in five conference venues
  • Logo on HAPCOA based promotions
  • Merchandise insert into conference bag
  • Opportunity to address conference attendees

benefit 6: Sub-Comandante-level supporters may also seek support from the HAPCOA Executive Board on issues that are clearly of mutual interest.

benefit 7: Sub-Comandante-level supporters are eligible to participate on the HAPCOA Corporate Advisory Board.

benefit 8: Sub-Comandante-level supporters will have access through a third party mailhouse to HAPCOA's membership database.
