HAPCOA International Faith and Blue Project Delivers 2nd Humanitarian Container to the Dominican Republic
(Washington, DC) The Hispanic American Police Command Officers Association (HAPCOA) via its National Capitol Region Chapter and its HAPCOA Dominican Republic Chapter continue their outreach into Latin America via its International Faith and Blue Project.
This July 2025, HAPCOA shipped out its second humanitarian container to the Dominican Republic which was filled with much needed items to include: pediatric mobility equipment, specialized wheelchairs, walkers, therapy chairs and medical supplies for children with special needs in underserved communities. Each humanitarian container has over $100,000.00 in medical supplies, equipment and other donations. Delivery of items within the DR will be organized by HAPCOA DR Chapter President Captain Yeimy Benjamin Moreta Mota.
This international project included the untiring efforts of our HAPCOA Ambassador at Large Alex Zunca, who secured the donated equipment from the State of Maryland. He also secured storage, the shipping container, and church volunteers who load the shipping container. International logistics for the HAPCOA container was organized by HAPCOA DR chapter founding member Alberto de La Rosa.
During the past three years our HAPCOA International Faith and Blue Project has organized yearly humanitarian shipments to El Salvador, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. Pending are plans to send additional containers this year to Honduras, Ecuador, and Guatemala. This project is indeed making a positive difference in our communities, not only locally, but also internationally.
