Chief Paul Chapa of the Trinity University Police Department was proud to announce that they received the 2024 Excellence in Crime Prevention Award from the 100 Club of San Antonio. This award recognizes their exceptional dedication, creativity, and effectiveness in implementing crime prevention strategies and fostering community engagement.
Notable community engagement events that contributed to this recognition include “Pan Dulce” with the Police, Chisme with the Chief, Cop Corn & Cop Cones, and their yearly National Faith & Blue event.
Chief Chapa is a member and former National President of HAPCOA, an FBI NA Graduate, and a member of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA).
Under Chief Chapa’s leadership, the Trinity University Police Department has also been Accredited by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators and received from the Texas Police Chiefs Association its Best Practices Recognition.
