HAPCOA Board Member Promoted to NCIS Assistant Director

(Quantico, VA) Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) Director Omar R. Lopez, promoted HAPCOA Vice President Ivan Acosta to Assistant Director, of the NCIS Office of Strategic Communications. NCIS has approximately 2,000 personnel, including 1,000 federal special agents based in 191 locations around the world. Acosta will be based at NCIS Headquarters in Quantico, VA.

Acosta has served in the NCIS for over 23 years and most recently served as Deputy Assistant Director of Global Engagements and prior served as Special Agent in Charge of the Southeast Asia Field Office.

Acosta also serves as 1st Vice President on the HAPCOA National Board. HAPCOA’s next National Law Enforcement Training Symposium will be held November 13-16, 2023, in San Antonio, TX.
