(Los Angeles) The Hispanic American Police Command Officers Association (HAPCOA) Los Angeles Chapter held its 2026 Scholarship Awards Dinner, at the Shekarchi Grill, on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
Serving as our honoree and keynote speaker was California State Senator Bob Archuleta, representing the 30th district, encompassing parts of southeastern Los Angeles County & Orange County. Thanks to Senator Archuleta for reminding us that service is not just a profession – it is a commitment to lifting others up and creating opportunities for those who follow.
Per Chief Robert Arcos, Chief Deputy – Operations, County of Los Angeles Probation Department, we are “grateful to Senator Bob Archuleta for his inspiring words at the HAPCOA LA Scholarship dinner about the importance of service, education, and representation”. Chief Arcos went on to say, “it was an honor to celebrate HAPCOA’s commitment to investing in the next generation. This year, HAPCOA proudly presented four scholarships to college bound students, supporting their educational goals and encouraging their educational goals and encouraging them to continue making a positive difference in their communities”.
