(Houston) On the heels of the historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) being signing in San Antonio with the San Antonio Police Department, Trinity University and HAPCOA, another MOU event was held with the Houston Police Department this past Monday, February 12, 2018.
HAPCOA Panama Chapter members Julio Burgos, Chapter President and Esteban Blis,Sgt at Arms organized this event with help from Panamanian Ambassador Sosa and DIASP Commissioner Ovido Fuentes (also a HAPCOA Panama Chapter member).
This MOU was signed by Panamanian Vice Minister of Public Security Jonnathan del Rosario and Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo. Witness to the signing was Panama Police Sub-Commissioner Johny Rangel, Ambassador Sosa and HAPCOA Chapter President Burgos.
In addition to this historic ceremony, DIASP Commissioner Fuentes and Sub-Commissioner Rangel were invited to tour the Houston Forensic Science Center and the offices of the ATF Houston Field Office.
