(Baton Rouge) One-year after an unprovoked attack on members of the Baton Rouge Police Department and the East Baton Rouge Sheriffs Office, HAPCOA presented its Aguila Azul National Recognition Award to the men and women of these departments. This award was presented in recognition of the entire departments internal strength and dedication to the community that they serve. HAPCOA commended the agencies for their professionalism and untiring service while challenged by an unprovoked assault on its officers which resulted in the death of its officers.
