(Kansas City) The National Latino Peace Officers Association (NLPOA) held its 44th Annual National Symposium at the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City, KS, October 11-14, 2017. The theme of its symposium was “The Future of Law Enforcement”.
Welcoming its members and attendees was NLPOA National President Cindy Rodriguez and it NE/KS Chapter President Darrin Fulton. Louis Quijas, former Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, former President of NLPOA and former HAPCOA board member provided the luncheon keynote address.
The NLPOA Gala Keynote Speaker was Ronald Miller the Chief of Police in Topeka (KA). The NLPOA also held a Comedy Night event called “Comedy Roll Call I”, the star of the show was comic legend Paul Rodriguez.
Officially representing HAPCOA at this years event was Chief Paul Chapa, Trinity University Police Department, former National President of HAPCOA and Tony Chapa, HAPCOA Executive Director.
