The Texas Association of College and University Police Administrators (TACUPA) presented its 2017 Bill G. Daniels Award for Outstanding Administrator to Chief Paul Chapa of the Trinity University Police Department.
The TACUPA each year solicits nominations from University President’s for this honor. The Award for Outstanding Administrator was established to recognize a Chief Administrator who has made outstanding contributions to the development of campus policing as a valid career choice in law enforcement at the management level.
This year’s prestigious award was presented at the TACUPA Annual Symposium and Banquet, November 27-30, 2017 in Arlington, TX.
Chief Paul Chapa presently serves as Chief of Police and Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.
Chief Chapa also served as National President of the Hispanic American Police Command Officers Association (HAPCOA) and today serves on the HAPCOA Board of Directors as Director at Large.
HAPCOA congratulates Chief Paul Chapa for his dedication, achievement and contributions to campus law enforcement and on his selection for the Outstanding Administrators Award.
