UPDATED: The upcoming HAPCOA 50th Anniversary National Law Enforcement Training Symposium: November 13-16, 2023, in San Antonio, TX
(San Antonio) The Hispanic American Police Command Officers Association (HAPCOA) will hold its 50th Anniversary National Law Enforcement Training Symposium in San Antonio, TX, November 13-17, 2023. The site of the event will be the Hotel Valencia on the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio.
Please make plans to attend as we will have yet another outstanding training symposium to share with our national membership. We will have nationally recognized law enforcement trainers, keynote speakers and expert presenters worthy of your time and interest! This year’s symposium theme is: “Empowering the Future of Law Enforcement”.
Visit the HAPCOA website (www.hapcoa.org) for the latest training schedule of events and access to the hotel website. At 4pm we will hold elections for open Board Member positions during our national membership meeting on Monday, November 13th at the Valencia Hotel. Following the meeting, we will host an outstanding welcoming reception.
On Tuesday, November 14th, at the Hotel Valencia, we will begin with our formal opening ceremony followed by a welcoming keynote address by Chief William P. McManus, of the San Antonio Police Department. Training courses and our exhibit booths open afterwards.
On Wednesday, November 15th, we will offer a full day of great training. That evening we will host our famed Aguila Award Dinner at the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum, home of the Texas Ranger Museum. Presenting our Aguila Award Keynote address will be Assistant Director Robert Contee, Office of Partner Engagement, Federal Bureau of Investigation. The presentation of nationally recognized HAPCOA Awards will follow.
On Thursday, November 16th, our training program continues with great presenters committed to presenting outstanding courses and discussion. We will also host a closing ceremony at the Hotel Valencia where we will swear-in our 2024 HAPCOA National Board and hear from our closing keynote speaker, the Honorable Judge Ron Rangel, 379th Criminal District Court of Bexar County, TX.
